DSV is hiring a Local Truck Driver in Phoenix, AZ.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
• 3 years of driving experience
• A TWIC card or the ability to obtain one within 90 days
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and frequently carry, push, or pull freight weighing 1-125 pounds
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

The primary responsibilities of the role include:

• Driving semi-tractor/trailers intra and inter-state between company and customer’s facilities
• P&D locally
• Backing trailers to customer dock
• Maintaining compliance with Federal and State safety regulations and safe and professional driving behavior
• Communicating with customer representatives in pleasant, respectful, and efficient manner
• Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers
• Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle
• Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving
• Applying tire chains in inclement weather when required
• Swings and secures trailer doors
• Performs other duties as required

The salary for this position is $16 – $24 per hour.
